A DOG’S TALE
After taking our beloved Buddy to a local daycare, we felt something was missing. He wasn’t getting the love and attention he deserved, and we knew other dogs might feel the same. From that moment, a vision was born to serve our community by creating a place where every dog is cared for like family.
That vision became Doggin’ Around in 2012 in Ventura. With the support of our community, we grew to Our Dog House in 2016 and Our Dog House Camarillo in 2018.
Today, we’re three facilities strong in Ventura County, united by a shared heart to serve and loving every dog as if they were our own.

AS WE’VE GROWN, SO HAS OUR MISSION
Caring for dogs has always been at the center of what we do, but it has also become a way to care for people. When you choose to have your dog stay with us, you’re choosing to help transform the lives of people in Uganda. Through a partnership with Abundant Blessing Ministries, over 1400 families in communities surrounding Nakkede Uganda are being equipped with Biblical principles, farming techniques, parenting skills, business opportunities and much more.
What started as a desire to give our beloved pup Buddy a better day has grown into a greater purpose to serve with love, uplift communities, and make a lasting impact, both close to home and across the world.

Our Dog House is located in Camarillo at 294 S. Dawson Drive, just off the 101 Freeway.
Our 7,500-square-foot facility accomodats all sizes and breeds of dogs, offering dog day care, dog boarding, and other services and products to make Our Dog House a one-stop shopping experience for dog owners. Dogs receive a free half-day assessment on their first visit. Based on the evaluation, the dog’s personality and needs are matched with the appropriate housing, playmates and activities.
Our Dog House staff are trained to provide the best services and opportunities in light of the unique qualities and needs of each dog. Our goal is to provide premium service at reasonable prices to all dog owners and reduce some of the stress people feel about caring for their four-legged family members.
